When we are on a strict diet often its too much hard work to stay on it, that after a few weeks we fall off the wagon, and usually end up back where we started from. We usually have the right intentions, but often we are in a rush to lose the weight and feel better about ourselves.

Its hard work trying to lose weight especially if you are unsure to go about it, or you are trying to find a quick way to lose weight. Quick ways usually lead to the initial weight loss being good, but then its too strict and we end up back at the beginning. Will power is the most powerful key in any weight loss journey. If you are in the wrong head space, no matter how hard you try you will not succeed.

You wont succeed because you will be easily swayed by temptations put in front of you. They say everything in moderation, but its easy to binge on our favourite foods when we have not been allowed them for some time.
Thats why with any diet, you have to be able to have treats, this way it will stop binge eating. When trying to lose weight the best thing you can do is drink more water. Water is a wonderful tool and should be used by any person wanting to lose weight. Water helps keep us hydrated, its excellent at keeping us feeling full, as often we feel hungry due to being dehydrated, and we often think we are actually hungry and instead of re-hydrating we eat when we dont need to.

They say exercise is a big part of any weight loss system, however, exercise is only 20% of any plan, 80% is food. Most people actually get enough exercise on a daily basis; its just that we are over eating. Portion sizing is the main issue to why we arent losing weight, we are eating too much. Many people say they are eating healthily; however, they are eating too much food.

Making small changes in your lifestyle will result in changes over a period of time. Even changing full fat milk down to slim milk will result in weight change. Bodies often will go into starvation mode if you are not eating enough, which means when we do fall off the wagon, our bodies will grab onto the fat we have just given it and hold onto it no matter how hard we try to get rid of it.
Many diets are designed for fast weight loss, which means that you are deprived of your favourite things and often after a couple of weeks, we really feel like we are missing out, we fall off the wagon and tend to never get back on.
